Parish Update – June 24, 2020

Mass Updates/Reminders
There will be no weekday 6:45 am Mass for the month of July.
The church has been set up to comply with Douglas County social distancing rules. Each blue tape area is for only one family.  The bigger blue tape areas in the center of the pews are for larger families.  Please help us by sitting only in the blue tape areas.  Your cooperation will allow us to comply with Douglas County and continue having Mass.
Church Landscape
Thank you Kyle Moreno!  Kyle Moreno completed his Boy Scout Eagle Scout project by cleaning up and planting many flowering plants in the area around the Holy Family Statue (where we now enter for Mass).  The area looks great!  Please take notice the next time you come to Mass.
Volunteer Landscape Clean Up Day.  We are asking for help to clean up the church grounds. Thursday July 2nd from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm we are having our first landscape clean up day.  We are asking for volunteers that are 14 or older. Lunch will be provided.  Please sign up on the button below and bring your wheel barrels, mowers, weed whackers, clippers, tree trimmers and garden gloves.  Wear your sunscreen and long pants.  We will be working in the sun and the weeds. Thanks in advance!
Building and Grounds Committee.  We are looking for additional members for our Building and Grounds Committee.  Our next meeting will be on Thursday, July 9th.  If you are interested, please click on the button below and join the group.
Volunteers
We are dependent upon volunteers to keep our Masses going.  If you are comfortable, please consider serving our parish in one of the following roles:
  • Audio/visual technicians to run the sound and camera.
  • Lectors to proclaim the Word of God during Mass.
  • Ushers to welcome people and check them in
  • Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion to assist with the distribution of the Eucharist.
If you would like to volunteer, please click on the appropriate button below and join that flocknote group.  We will then contact with you more information.
Parish News
The parish office will be closing at noon on Thursday, June 25th.
We are seeking two part time custodian assistants to help support in the upkeep and maintenance of the Church facilities.  This includes cleaning, event set-up and takedown and securing of the facilities.  Minor maintenance is also included.  If you or anyone you know is interested, please click on the button below for more information.
Catholic Schools
You may or may not have been aware of funding that has been given to our state to help schools as a result of the pandemic. Unfortunately, Colorado has chosen to withhold those funds from Catholic schools. Please take a moment to read more and prayerfully consider taking action.
