The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as the sacrament of penance; the sacrament in the Roman Catholic Church whereby a person’s sins are absolved through confession and penance.

Reconciliation is routinely celebrated in English on Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 6pm-7pm. Private confessions can be arranged by contacting the parish priests through the Parish Office at 303-841-3750, as needed.

First Reconciliation
Any baptized child seven years of age and older and who has participated in Catholic Religious Education for the prior year(s): If the child is in the second grade, he/she has completed the first grade. If the child is in the third grade, he/she has completed the second grade in a religious education class or Catholic School.

*If your child is not baptized or has not participated in Catholic Religious Education, please refer to the Rite of Christian Initiation.

Registration for First Sacraments will take place the fall.   A copy of baptism certificate will be required at that time.   Contact Nancy Hartshorn with questions.

Preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation is taught primarily by the Parents/Guardians.  Parents/Guardians are required to participate in the sacramental classes offered in order to prepare their child(ren) for Reconciliation (Confession/Penance).  Although the parents are ultimately responsible for their child’s preparation, there will be a strong emphasis in their classroom, as well.
