Elizabeth Leach
Director of Marketing & Communications
ve Maria Church & School
Where were you before Ave Maria?
I worked for the University of Colorado, Department of Orthopedics. I was responsible for marketing and communications for all Orthopedic divisions such as reconstructive, trauma/fracture, oncology, and sports medicine for both adult and pediatric groups. Tell me about your family? My husband, Dave, and I live here in Parker, CO with our three children, Victoria, Evelyn, and Dominic, and a cat named Orville. Evelyn and Dominic attend Ave Maria Catholic School and love their first-grade and preschool classes. |
Who is your favorite saint?
It’s hard to choose just one… through the intercession of St. Gerard Majella, I have witnessed wondrous works. St. Anthony of Padua is a constant companion in my life.
Do you have a favorite prayer?
I do not have a favorite prayer, but the rosary is my favorite way to pray. There is a calming renewal I feel each time I say a rosary. When I’m especially in need, I use my grandmother’s rosary. I believe my grandmother’s devotion to praying the rosary inspired my love of it.
Favorite liturgical season?
Lent. This season of reflection always serves to remind me of where I come from and where I hope to return.
How do you see God working in your life?
If I stop to truly look around I see the amazing work of God in all things. Even those things to which I fervently prayed and received a different outcome, I can see His hand in my life. God is always in the details of my work at the parish and school as well as my personal life.
