Where were you before Ave Maria?
I was a Navy brat (born in Annapolis, MD) and was raised in San Diego. I lived in Rhode Island for a few years and then landed in Colorado. My parish growing up was St. Michael's in Paradise Hills, San Diego and that was where I was married. Why did you want to work at Ave Maria? A very close friend of mine (not Catholic) saw the job posting and immediately told me about it. She thought it would be perfect for me. I think she was right! Tell me about your family? Joe and I have been married for 24 years. Still deciding if I will keep him around. |

We have 2 sons (senior and freshman in college), 2 daughters (junior in high school and 8th grader in middle school) and 2 wonderful dogs. One is 3 lbs and the other is a heavyweight at 8.5 lbs.
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy?
I have been a face painter for over 15 years. On the weekends, you may run into me at a birthday party or community event. I am obsessed with crochet and I am currently working on hats for the homeless and making lap blankets for those in wheelchairs. Our family also loves to hike and we are a little bit crazy for all things Disney.
Who is your favorite Saint?
Saint Damien of Molokai is one of my favorites. After visiting Kalaupapa, Hawaii and learning about Father Damien, I was very moved by his life and experiences.
Do you have a favorite prayer?
One of my favorite prayers is the Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi.
How do you see God working in your life?
I see God working in my life everyday, in my children and my husband, in people that I encounter at the library and at the store. I see him working everywhere and all the time and am very grateful to have him in my life.
